Reverse upper face wrinkles and reduce crows feet

Anti-wrinkle injections, also known as Botox injections, are used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. They involve the injection of a purified form of botulinum toxin into specific muscles, which causes temporary muscle paralysis, helping to smooth out wrinkles and give the skin a more youthful appearance. Visible signs of ageing, such as crows feet, forehead lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows can all be significantly reduced, resulting in a more refreshed and rejuvenated look, after receiving anti-wrinkle injections.
It’s your anti-wrinkle injections consultation that is key in getting you the results you want. Frequently asked questions
Anti-wrinkle injections contain a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin type A. When injected into the skin, they work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause muscle contractions. This prevents the muscles from contracting and creating wrinkles on the skin’s surface. By relaxing the muscles, anti-wrinkle injections can smooth out existing wrinkles and prevent the formation of new ones.
The main purpose of anti-wrinkle injections is to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, allowing the skin to appear smoother and more youthful.
Some people may feel a slight pinching sensation or a mild stinging feeling at the injection site, while others may hardly feel anything at all. The pain is usually minimal and brief, and most individuals tolerate it well. Dr Rachel can use topical anaesthetic creams to minimise any discomfort during the procedure, but this isn’t usually needed. Overall, although there may be some discomfort associated with anti-wrinkle injections, it is generally well-tolerated and temporary.
When you receive anti-wrinkle injections, you should see some initial differences in your skin after 3 or 4 days, and your peak results should be obvious after 10-14 days. This is because the injections work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles. As the muscles gradually relax, the skin in the treated area starts to smooth out, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
On average, the effects of anti-wrinkle injections usually last 3 months. Some people may experience longer-lasting effects, while others may notice the effects wearing off sooner. Regular maintenance treatments are recommended to maintain the desired results.
